Now in its 30th year, Charity Walk for Peace is founded in the service of humanity and was established by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association. The walk takes place in different locations each year and this year it will start at Savill Court Hotel in Englefield Green on Sunday 29 April and cover around five miles.
A great day out for all the family, Charity Walk for Peace requires the completion of a short online registration process to take part. The charity is also looking for charities to partner with and benefit from this year's fundraising which they hope this year will break through the £1 million mark.
If you or someone you know is involved with a local good cause that could benefit from the Charity Walk for Peace, the charity's website has more information.
Charity Walk for Peace held a dinner event on Saturday February 17 at Bishopsgate School, Englefield Green. It provided an opportunity to meet the organisers and sponsors of the Charity Walk for Peace. The national dinner also brought together a host of charities and beneficiaries, MP's, Mayors, Councillors and local community groups, as well as representatives from the media, with the objective of introducing them to this year's national walk, its aims and objectives, and its fundraising efforts throughout the previous years.
Anyone taking part in Charity Walk for Peace needs to have registered online by no later than Saturday 21 April. The walk itself will start at 10.30am on Sunday 29 April. Walking through the beautiful and historical Royal Windsor Great Park and enjoying the wonderful natural landscape with lakes and wildlife, the organisers have said the walk promises to deliver one of the best scenic routes in the life of Charity Walk for Peace.
Charity Walk for Peace has a complete guide to the day on its website.
